Nikoy’s Pizza Haus is located in front of the Cadiz City Commercial Complex. Nikoy’s started as a home-style pizza offered to the Students and Patron’s at Philippine Normal University. Because of it’s unique taste and Mass appeal, add to that the affordable prices, Nikoy’s became a hit among the young and old alike. It didn’t take long that they needed to have their own Kitchen and Diner to be able to keep up with the demand.

Nikoy’s is owned by Mr. Alex Rommel Fernandez and Mrs. Gloria Gonzaga Gonzales. It was Mrs. Gloria’s recipe that made it a hit, they didn’t have a name at first but they credited their Pizza success to their son Dominic Fernandez who’s nickname is Nikoy. Mr. Rommel Fernandez, pictured above, says that they prioritize cleanliness on their diner and that it is always best to eat their pizza’s when it’s hot.

They have already been 1 and a half years in operation, and so far, they have one stall branch at Philippine Normal University aside from their main Diner. I gathered my friends to try it out without Mr. Fernandez knowing that I’m going to get feedback from my guests.

I ordered my favorite, the cheezy pizza, (I like Cheese a lot!), and the other one I leave to one of my friends/guests to select. As they liked the one with a lot of meat, then that’s the one they ordered. (See the Picture above, obviously the Cheezy Pizza, is the one with a lot of Cheese…). We ate and talked and then Mr. Fernandez saw us and told us that their pizza is a good Beer Match. So he gave us some San Miguel Lights.

Getting a Nikoy’s Slice

San Mig was a courtesy of Nikoys, just to try it out. It really does bring out the flavor of the pizza. He also suggested that to get all the good stuff of their pizza, they have a Super Nikoy’s Pizza which has everything in it and is quite large too, good for barkada/group food tripping!

My other guest, liked his pizza really hot, so he poured some hot sauce in it. It slowed our eating down a bit. After they ate, I started interviewing them. The general feedback is that it(the pizza) remains to taste “Home-Made”, and that it has it’s own unique flavor to it. I asked them to rate it in a scale of 1 to 10, they gave it an average of about 8.5. Then they started to compare it to Greenwich pizza and PizzaHut. So that gives you an idea how they liked it as compared to the Big Players. The Bonus? It is affordable, half the price of the commercial pizzas.

The Hot Sauce

Mr. Fernandez, wondered why I was taking a lot of pictures, so I told him that I’m reviewing his Pizza since some readers of my site (www.cadiz-city.net, yes this site) wanted more coverage about food in Cadiz. I told him the places I’m going to review next. I’m no food critic, that’s why I do invite some guests to eat with me to get a general average of how a restaurant or a food rates to them as well as my personal opinion.
