The Lucky 99 Store

Lucky 99

There are a bunch of stores suddenly popping up in Cadiz City. First we have a slew of the old reliable stores, then the invasion of the Korean Owned stores popped up.

Now there is a new store I heard is owned by a Cadiznon. The name of the store is Lucky 99. Ther is a new store also of the same type here called the Novo Store, and there is another one called Hanson. This post however is more aimed at the Lucky 99 store.

The catch is that most of their item prices are either priced at 99 Pesos, (roughly 2USD) and some other items containing the number 99 in them like 199 Pants and 29.99 table ware. The store official color I assume is Yellow, as the sales ladies uniform are in yellow and so is the general theme of the store, wall paint, racks and tags are all in yellow.

The Sales Ladies uniform is fun to look at since they seem to want to play tennis with their outfit. Short Blue Skirt, Tennis Shoes, and a basic Collared Shirt. The only qualms I have with the store is there checkout system. It is a bit cumbersome and slow. But anyway, I visited there shop 5 days after there opening, they offered a free stuffed toy for a minimum purchase of 500 Pesos.

There sales ladies are pleasant to talk to, very helpful and always eager to assist. There are a bunch of “tambays” on the place though, and sometimes the air-conditioning is not that cool. The shop appeals more to the women than men, and the general layout of the items is easy to navigate. Male for left, Female for right. Far Left is for the Kids, Center Aisle for Home stuff and other related items, Far Right are for the undergarments and so is the Fitting Room. You should check the store out and tell us what you think.

i been in that store recently, but i was disappointed with the managers attitude in dealing with the situation. the sales ladies accept their fault of misinforming the customer about their promos, but the items are already written in the receipt. The manager took over with the situation, she told the customer that she can’t cancel the receipt ’cause it’s more than 3 items (i was amazed with that rule) and instead of helping her sales ladies in convincing the customer to purchase the items she pinned down them, telling them with a stern look that it will be charge to them if the customer will not take it. it also leave the customer no choice but to take all the items because it will be a big burden to the sales ladies if she will not pay for it. as for that manager, you should be the 1st one to feel for your subordinates. a good and cheerful explanation of what will happen to your subordinates can soften the heart of your customers and can encourage them to help willingly.
